I am Leo Smith and have been boating throughout the Chesapeake Bay Estuary for over 60 years.  During that time I've cruised throughout the bay and for the last ten years have served as a membership director of one of the largest boat clubs on the east coast, the Carefree Boat Club.  The Carefree Boat Club is a private, members only boat club with more than 28 locations ranging from  the Chesapeake Bay to the Florida Keys and west to the Gulf coast of Texas and north to Chicago.

 

The purpose of this site is to share my knowledge of boating as a recreational hobby with links to organizations, venues, clubs, and marinas to provide folks with the dreams of boating a more enjoyable and rewarding boating experience benefitting from my own experiences.
